Thursday,  March 6— The Bearcats Dixieland Jazz Buffet Dinner 6:30 to 9:30.  Joe Hanlon on trumpet; guest trombone and vocals; Charlie Freeman on piano; Noel Kaletsky on clarinet/saxes; Ed Stockmal on drums; Greg McCurty on bass/tuba.  An evening of hot Dixieland music with amazing players!  You won’t want to miss this high energy, toe-tapping, music!

Friday, March 7— The Chris Coogan Quintet.  Chris on keyboard and vocals; Jim Royle on drums; John Mobilio on bass; Jim Clark on sax; Rex Denton on trumpet.  Here’s an exciting mix of American roots music: jazz, gospel, boogie-woogie and originals.  Come for the fantastic fun of one of Fairfield County’s greats. 

Saturday, March 8—The Rob Fried Quartet. Rob Fried on bass/vocals with Tim Moran on sax/flute, John Cain on guitar, and Chris Pike on drums/vocals will present a compelling blend of  Brazilian, Latin and Jazz music that is both energetic and relaxing.  The group will perform songs from Rob’s current release, "Wind Song".

Friday, March 14— The Glenda Davenport Quartet.  Glenda sings up a storm with Hiroshi Yamasaki on piano, Ryan Berg on bass, and David Jones, Jr. on drums.  Glenda gives her own take on your favorite standards, and it’s a good one.  We love her sophisticated style and great voice!

Saturday, March 15— The Harold Zinno Quintet with Nicole. Harold on trumpet and flugelhorn; Billy Cofrancis on sax; John Mobilio on bass; Jack Varanelli on drums; and Doug Schlink on piano; plus the brilliant Nicole on vocals.  One of our most popular bands, they swing through favorite standards and great songs with the terrific singing of Nicole!

Friday, March 21—The Rob Silvan Quartet.  Rob on keyboard; John Ragusa on flutes; Don Wallace on bass and Rick Quintanal on drums. One of our favorite regular bands dishes up lively, entertaining and original renditions of great jazz!

Saturday, March 22—Arthur Lipner and Brasilian Vibes. Arthur on vibes and marimba; Bill Bickford on guitar; Nick Bariluk on keyboards; Itaiguarra Brandao on bass; and special guest Chris Parker on drums.  Heat up a winter week-end with some hot Brazilian jazz.  This group will transport you to a whole different place!

Thursday, March 27— The Constitution Jazz Band.  Bill Gray on trombone; Simon Wettenall on trumpet; Russ Whitman on clarinet & sax; Bill Lezotte on banjo and guitar; Barry Bockus on bass for some exciting New Orleans style Dixieland! 

Friday, March 28—The Tom Devino Quartet with Maydie Myles. The energetic jazz vocals of Maydie are complimented by the equally upbeat, swinging instrumentals of Tom Devino on drums; Kris Jensen on Sax, & Rob Aries on keyboard.  Hear some tunes from their new recording! 

Saturday, March 29—The Kris Jensen Quartet. New to Silvermine as a leader, Kris has impressed with his great style. A protégé of the legendary saxophonist Jackie McLean, Kris studied with him at Hartford's Hartt School of Music.  He has toured and recorded with many jazz greats and was a featured soloist with Maynard Ferguson and Big Bop Nouveau.  This will be a night of amazing jazz sax!

Saturday, April 5—The Sean Smith Quartet.  Sean Smith, a pitch-perfect, fluid, and elegant bassist, is one of the busiest young players on the international jazz scene. A first-call sideman with over 50 recordings to his credit, he has also released two CDs as leader of his working quartet.  Smith has toured the world's major jazz rooms and concert halls, performing with such luminaries as Gerry Mulligan, Benny Carter, Flip Phillips, Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, Art Farmer, Tom Harrell, Rosemary Clooney, and Peggy Lee. Smith is a prolific writer whose soulful, melodic compositions have been recorded by Phil Woods, Mark Murphy, Bill Charlap, Bill Mays, Leon Parker, Barbara Sfraga, and Gene Bertoncini,

Friday,  April 18— The Damon Grant Project.  Damon Grant performs original and traditional jazz compositions on vibraphone, marimba and a variety of other percussion instruments with Afro-Caribbean flair in his group.  A Norwalk native, this hot young player is making a big splash in the Latin jazz world.

Saturday, April 19—The Ralph Lalama Quartet.  Ralph on tenor sax; Joe Hart on guitar; Rick Petrone on bass; Joe Corsello on drums.  Ralph Lalama is a world-class tenor saxophonist who has found his fame on the New York jazz scene and around the globe through his association with such luminary bands as the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra (with whom he's played since 1983), the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, and the Joe Lovano Nonet.  He tours and records extensively!  We’re thrilled to get him for this weekend.  RalphLalama.com
